The regime has strengths- military is one. We have another strength- maybe not will, but Torah. We have to struggle in the arena which we are strong and they are weak. And to keep the struggle within that arena. A Torah struggle is not limitted in location- it is worldwide. Wherever you are you can invite a Jew for Shabbes and help them make teshuva. Wherever you are you can deligitimize organs of Medinat Yisrael. And you have to do it everywhere, because at any given point they can and will overpower you. Like guerilla fighters which Mike talks about, sap their wills, sap their legitimacy- act everywhere, and disappear.\nA war of symbols seems a very strong idea, because indeed that is where we should be much stronger.");

Do I really believe that Shimon Peres will come to an agreement with the \"moderates\" in the PLO that they will incinerate \"only\" 5,000 Jews a day in the crematoria of Beit Shemesh? - No, of course not. That\'s not a realistic scenario, that\'s a piece of sarcasm.\n\nHaving said that, if during the 1992 election campaign I would have written that prime ministerial candidate Yitzchak Rabin (y\"sh), if elected to office, will give 70,000 Kalashnikov assault rifles to the PLO within a year and a quarter; if I would have written that terrorist attacks would rise by 500% and the government would respond by giving terrorists more weapons; if I would have written that Rabin (y\"sh) would become the world\'s Number 1 apologist for the PLO and for Arafat personally, I would have been dismissed as a fantasiser, totally divorced from reality.\n\nAnd if, as recently as 2001, I would have written that with Ariel Sharon as Prime Minister, the Arabs of Gaza could shoot missiles at Israeli cities with impunity; if I would have written that Sharon\'s eventual response to those missile attacks would be to wipe out the Jewish presence in Gaza, I would also have been dismissed as a fantasiser.\n\nSo when, today, I foresee that within a decade the government of Israel will be discussing withdrawal from the Galilee; when I predict the same time-frame for discussions on autonomy for the Arabs of Haifa and Jaffa; when I picture Jews going to the Western Wall in UN convoys and being directed there by Arab League soldiers, and the entire Old City of Jerusalem being under UN or Arab League jurisdiction, maybe that\'s not so far-fetched after all.\n\nBut yes, I am an optimist. None of this has to happen. It can, very easily, because this is the direction in which the state is heading, and has been heading at least since the signing of the Oslo death accords in 1993. But we can change direction any moment, if we but have the will.\n\n\"Accept the truth from whoever said it\" said the Rambam (introduction of the Guide to the Perplexed); the Sefer ha-Chinuch repeats this injunction (Mitzvah #469), and Vienna Mike (so much of whose words I disagree with) is bang on target when he says (in TB #7) that \"when a bleak assessment is made, it is made as a call to action\".\n\nAnd the time for action is now, and the place for action is here in Israel.");

I think his intuitive understanding of the souls running the country, and his factual analysis of past events, is close to unerring. He is also the guy that proved the pre-Amona police \'instructional video\' was a fraud. That this video was made shows how corrupt the Olmert gov\'t is. \n\nI don\'t personally think, most of the time, that Daniel\'s predictions of what the Arabs will do are factual. I prefer to think they are exaggerated; with each day the gap between what I guess may happen and what Daniel suggests narrows. Olmert thumbs his nose daily at Israeli, completely misinterprets his responsibilities as outfoxing Bibi, or Barak, or Livni. He more or less openly says, \'I don\'t care how awfully I perform or what you think of me, NOTHING matters but staying in power.\'\n\nDror came out again and said that Olmert must go, and that he, Dror, erred in not openly calling for Olmert\'s retirement. Olmert exploited Dror\'s original logic, which is the elite\'s logic - keep Ehud around, after all the peace process is vital - thus showing how messed up they are. And now, Dror\'s warnings sound like they are too late, as far as removing Olmert. \n\nThis is a huge crisis in Israel\'s political system that could conceivably lead to a disaster that may cause the downfall of the state, if everything goes just wrong. The IDF/IAF and Mossad will probably save Israel, but then too they may save these jokers\' careers = more damage to come. \n\nNot much in this scenario to celebrate. Now Israeli Arab groups are coming out as terrorists and kidnappers of Israeli Jews = Dana Bennett.\n\nHave fun with your fantasist, super-macho view of things...");

We the people should take this government and its philosophy down. We have no choice. We have no other country to run to that will treat us like we are at home. Perhaps the Israeli elites think they do, but they are wrong. They are still Jews, like it or not.\n\nAs for likely candidates - If Moshe Feiglin, motivated by faith and well able to articulate both a belief and a set of policies that the public would support (for English speakers, Shmuel Sackett can do this for him), is not an appropriate candidate, and Manhigut Yehudit is basically a waste of time and money (as a talkbacker implied a few articles ago, and said he had been keeping quiet for a while), someone needs to spell out why. Feiglin  and M\"Y deserve the opportunity to defend themselves against any reservations their present or former supporters might have, and even to change if need be. I find it funny that we have given many other people, even known scoundrels, opportunities to make Israel miserable for ourselves and a laughing stock to the world, but we can\'t seem to find it in our hearts to give Manhigut Yehudit, Feiglin, and their philosophy a chance to campaign for national leadership. They can\'t possibly screw up worse than has already been done.");

They are more than capable of cold-bloodedly leading Israel to annihilation, and every individual Jew to extermination (r\"l), before admitting to their sins in public.\n\nRather than openly concede that they were directly responsible for the murder of thousands of Jews (so far), the ruling elites will continue with their lethal fantasies of withdrawing, \"strengthening the moderates\", etc., until Syrian tanks (of the \"moderate\" Syrians, of course) are rolling down Dizengoff Street, and Egyptian aircraft (piloted solely by \"moderate\" Egyptian pilots, of course) will be bombing Haifa.\n\nMeanwhile, \"moderate\" \"Palestinians\" will be herding Jews into the crematoria of Beit Shemesh, while Shimon Peres will be crowing that he has made peace with them.
