BUT we have another little detail in our laws that makes interogations much more dangerous. In Israel when put before an investigating police officer we are told You have the right to remain silent, however if you do so it WILL BE HELD AGAINST YOU.  I kid you not. In israel if you keep shut and it is automatically assumed that you are guilty and it will probably go to trial. OTOH, if you talk then anything and everything you say can be twisted in order to get a conviction.  The police are NOT your friends, their goal is to get a conviction, whether fairly or unfairly.");

I sleep much better at night knowing armed men and women are watching over the community. I respect the POLICE and if there is trouble I\'m calling 911 right away. The Lord loves POLICE OFFICERS. Many police officers have given there lives protecting citizens from the real evil scum of the earth. I speak to police officers all the time. If I have a bottle of water and I see a police officer standing in the hot sun directing traffic I will give that police officer my bottle of water. The Police endure so much misery my heart is soft towards them. Many people hate the police but I\'m not one of them. If someone doesn\'t like law enforcement officers I think that person has a problem. The police are our fathers and mothers,our sons and daughters. They are the front line soldiers against evil when it rears its sinister head in our communities. Police are brave and are called into situations that people are running out of. I\'ll talk to the cops any day of the week. I am proud to know many police officers. Some people should take the advice given on those videos and SHUT UP!");

Could be, I am living in a dream world.  My worldview at the moment is it is best to cooperate and to be respectful.\n\nFor those Jews protesting in Israel against immoral government policy and actions, again I would advocate being firm but respectful and cooperative to the best of your ability.  If I am asked my name by the police, I am going to give them my name.  Why provoke unnecessarily?  That is what the lawyer in the first video appears to counsel; rebellion.\n\nWhen I get to Israel, I might change my mind but for now this is my position.  I have been involved in non-violent protest here in Fla. in the recent past.  I was active in our local pro-life movement. AddReply(316782,"You need to use the media to fight the evil leftist police state","Michelle","Vancouver","06/21/08","I was reading a report on the latest chapter of the Bergson vs Leftists conflict:  “Yad Vashem rejects rescue activists exhibit”  (And how rudely!!!)\n\nhttp://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1213794285084&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull\n\nThis issue is not isolated from the present struggle to preserve the integrity and security of Israel.  \n\nIt seems as if the 1930s and 1940s struggle to save the Jewish people and to recreate the state of state of Israel was never as simple as the politically correct version would like us to believe.  \n\nThe politics of the Jewish left was rife with self-interest placed above the higher principles of saving Jewish lives and strengthening the Jewish land, and they have been disgracefully consistent to this day!\n\nSo while the patriotic right wing shouts with a Bible in one hand and with legal and historical documents in the other, all that the left cares about is preserving their own political and financial grip on the country.\n\nThe British Mandate years are also full of incidents where the left chose to put Jewish lives and the future of the country at risk in order to keep the right wing from having even a small share of power.  \n\nSo that brings us to today.  The left is ready to part with Jewish land, is ready to put Jews in danger and the very future of the country in jeopardy – as long as they can keep in power just a little longer.  They know, deep in their evil hearts, that what they are doing is terribly destructive.\n\nRight wing writers and activists can continue to write volumes about the historical and moral reasons backing up their principles, but the left does not care about those principles.  They only care about sitting yet one more day in the Knesset, and fighting through police brutality and the politicized courts even the most minor expressions of dissent, as you Tamar indicate in the column above.\n\nAnd now even the patriots’ main political weapons, the Bible and the legal and historical documents, are being distorted and robbed!!!  The Arabs have already appropriated the designation of Palestinian, and they are calling the blockade of Gaza a “Holocaust”.  And since the IDF is restrained in the number of casualties it inflicts on the other side, they resort to their own Pallywood to tell lies to the world and cultivate their image of victimhood – while it’s the Jews of Israel who are truly the victims of billions of backward and violent Arabs!\n\nWhich brings me to my favorite subject, which is how ineffective the right wing has been in using the media to give exposure to their case and to fight back the avalanche of Arab and leftist lies and distortions.\n\nThis is in the immediate reality: a fight for political power.  The right wing should stop their infighting and rally together to wrest power from the left once and for all.  There’s no other route to survival but to unite.  Leave the discussion on how religious the state of Israel should be, how representative of biblical traditions, etc., and concentrate on one issue:  taking power away from the left.  \n\nThe platform should be about two items only:  electoral reform and keeping the integrity of the land of Israel.  \n\nAfter that has been accomplished, then you can go back to normal political discussions.  \n\nBut to start with, organize an effective media blitz that will expose the moral bankruptcy of the left, from its early beginnings to this day.  From the American Jews\' shameful abandonment of the Nazi victims (the Bergson issue), to the sinking of the Altalena, all the way to Oslo and Gush Katif, and much more….  Tell it all, again and again.  You need to CONVINCE THE ISRAELIS FIRST, why they are being duped with this so-called “peace” agreements with the Arabs.  To save the country you need to kick the left out of power.  There’s no other way.\n");
