Believe me that is the only reason I would leave Eretz Yisrael, even for a short time. I was so happy to be back here. In the States, material  life is good for many people including the Jews, but I felt that Jewish life there is not the real thing. One can only live a real Jewish life here in Israel. The holidays here are so much more authentic, walking around is walking in our ancestors\' footsteps, each mitzvah is so much more meaningful here.The majority of people here are Jews like me, my OWN  people. The history here is MY history. My feelings are difficult to put into words, but I feel so much better being here, in the Land that HaShem has given us. It truly hurts me that so many Jews, even frum ones, prefer to live in the Galut when they can live in their own land.");

I was proud to read that Jews in Hevron had sent General Fraser and his security team running away with their tails between their legs.  They were accused, lambasted, and cursed in haaretz report, but this I would expect from far leftist \"Israelis\" and hateful Arabs.  I would hope that the rightwing camp would embrace such acts as holy.  I would hope that leaders like yourself or a Tzvi Fishman would not side with the \"Israelis\" and call these Jewish patriots \"extremists\" or some other accusatory term.\n\nThere have been some conflicting reports about what exactly happened.  Do you know what exactly sparked this fracas and why a member of Fraser\'s security convoy slammed his car into a Jews car?  I would like to know.  Maybe you know the details and could give us a full account of the heroic Jews turning away the cowardly American general. \n\n");

A few simple questions and the charade falls apart.\n\nWhy are the soldiers afraid?\nBecause of the Arabs\n\nWhy are the Arabs there?\nBecause the soldiers will not kill them all.\n\nWhy won\'t the soldiers kill them all?\nBecause they would be sent to jail if they did.\n\nWhat if the Jewish residents killed the Arabs instead?\nThe soldiers would protect the Arabs\n\nWhy are the Arabs unafraid to walk up to soldiers?  Why do the Arab child scouts happily point out the soldiers to the Arabs\' adult warriors?\nBecause they know that the soldiers will not harm them.  The soldiers will protect them from the \"settlers\".  That\'s why the soldiers are there in the first place.\n\nWhy do the Jews in Beit HaShalom live in squalor?\nBecause they are not permitted to improve their accomodations.\n\nWhat if they simply did so regardless?\nThe soldiers would come and destroy the accomodations.\n\nBut wait!  So the soldiers are there to protect Arabs and to restrain Jews from improving the Land!  Why do the Jews tolerate this?\nThe Jews, poor dears, think that they are Israeli.  Some even serve in the IDF.  They are the poor schmucks with the tzitzit under their uniforms, who walk by Moslems every day knowing full well that they as Jewish soldiers are REQUIRED to kill Moslems on sight regardless of age and gender.\n\nSo why are the Jews singing and dancing so joyously on Shabbos?\nDisplaced fear and frustration.  They know that the soldiers are there to protect the Arabs.  They do not wish to build defenses for themselves and expel the soldiers, because then they would have to admit that they are not Israeli.  So they jump and sing as loudly as they can.  It dissipates the energy.  When the soldiers are ordered to leave overnight, they will either leave with them or be massacred because they failed to prepare to defend themselves.  So they will leave.\n\nBut what about not being intimidated out of Hebron?\nWell, that\'s just a slogan for naiive little girls.");

And thank you for writing such a beautiful, inspiring article. But let me comment on two of your comments:\n\n\"Living in Eretz Yisrael may not be for everyone...\"  No, but it\'s for all Jews.  There are different areas with different feels, and everyone can find (or make) his or her place here.\n\n\"I am obviously not suggesting that everyone move to Chevron...\"  Why not?  As more and more Jews move to Chevron, people will find their niche, and different neighborhoods will be right for different people. Think of the spiritual levels we\'ll all be at when we live just a few minutes\' walk from the avot & imahot!\n\n\n");
