When asked several times about the historical evidence that Arafat and the Palestinians would break all treaties, Peres responded in 1993--several times in several different interviews, once with me, once with David Makovsky, and with others--\"I don\'t read history. I make history.\"\n   The sheer arrogance and stupidity of the comment is typical of the man.\n\n2. Peres and fans like to pretend that he is an avid reader, that he speaks French etc. [As someone who speaks French and who has heard him, let me tell you that he speaks French only slightly better than I speak japanese.--MW]\nHis references to books are usually inaccurate.\n   This is a man who reads superficially at best, collects blurbs from book covers and loves to have his picture taken with authors. Benny Begin once said, correctly, that Peres is in the bookbinding business.\n\n3. In his recent trip to Poland, Peres granted near absolute absolution to Poles for their role in the murder of Jews in Poland during WWII. He also classified himself as Polish. \nActually, Peres is Byelorussian, and, much more importantly, many, many Poles were eager participants in the Nazis\' plans. I know because my father\'s whole family was wiped out by Nazis, Poles and Lithuanians. My father, Abraham Widlanski (z\"l), spoke of one brother actually being killed in a Polish pogrom AFTER the end of the war. Many books and other survivors speak of the same and similar events.\nPeres\'s comments forgiving the Poles are therefore unforgivable. \nMichael Widlanski\nDr. Michael Widlanski\nSchusterman Visiting Professor\n204 Busch Hall, Washington University in St. Louis\nOffice Phone: 314-935-9076\nE-mail: mikewid@netvision.net.il or mikewid18@gmail.com\n");

AddReply(297898,"Steve and Tamar","Michelle","Vancouver","04/12/08","There are countless Jews (and friends of Israel too) who are in a state of great despair and helplessness. \n\nWe read the news and it’s invariably the same: more battles lost, more retreats, both physical and political. \n\nToday April 11, for example: “Livni Gives Away Northern Jerusalem”, “Western Wall Too Controversial For Bush”, “Two Killed in Terror Attack on Gaza Humanitarian Crossing”, in addition to the daily reports of rock attacks on cars, rockets launched against Sderot, and daily attacks on soldiers. \n\nThose are a few samples. I’m sure that news of actual violence against Jews, government acts that erode Israel’s integrity, and the usual international effort to turn world opinion against Israel could fill many pages.\n\nAll that leads us to question why are we allowing this to happen. \n\nThere are true heroes and so many dedicated Israelis who are fighting enormous battles against multiple enemies (Tamar, you and the A7 staff deserve our gratitude for your efforts and the quality news service you provide). \n\nAnd also there are Jews like Steve, doing their part in America, but feeling discouraged by the lack of response. The challenges seem almost insurmountable. \n\nBut Jewish talent, passion and hard work could be put to use in a well-planned, well-organized PR campaign to change the perception of Israel in other countries, particularly the US, since its government is so actively orchestrating Israel’s destruction. \n\nWhy not hire the very best PR agency in the US and change the picture completely. Raising funds should not be a problem. I’m sure that there are many people who would love to contribute to this effort.\n\nIn the US you can sell practically anything as long as it’s well marketed. So, why not promote something really worthwhile? Few causes can compare with the significance of protecting the land of Israel and the lives of Jews who live there. \n\nThere have been many campaigns that started from nothing, such as the environmental movement, and then really took off and became mainstream. That happened because their proponents organized well and knew how to market their ideas.\n\nJews are extremely talented, motivated, and there are financial resources available – so why not put all that together and brainstorm until they come up with an unbeatable PR campaign that will debunk once and for all the big Muslim, leftist and anti-Semitic propaganda machines that want to bulldoze Israel to the ground.\n\nJews should hire the very best PR agency and get to work. It’s not impossible. Why hasn’t this been done already? Time is running out.\n\nAnd those are only the American and international fronts. Much more could be done in Israel itself by using PR to motivate the general public to defy the government’s “peace” plan and to counteract leftist PR and brainwashing. But that’s another story…\n\nAnd Steve, regarding those phone-in shows, is there a chance that callers who want to back you up on the subject of Israel are being censored by the screener? AddReply(297885,"Retired","Ralph Tankersley","Highland Hgts, Ky","04/12/08","Hi Tamar,\nI just watched video where Simon Peres addressed the young people of Israel. This video was so repugnant that I almost became physically ill. What I found particulary offensive was his instructions to the young people to forsake the teachings of their parents. This reminds me of Nazi Germany, where the teachers instructed their pupils to report their parents and grandparents to the authorizes, if the instructions they received at home did not agree with the teachings of National Socialism. In those days, thousands of parents and grandparents were afraid to discuss national or world events in front of their own children. I\'m appalled that even a liberal secularist like Mr. Peres would try and turn the children of Israel against the teachings of their parents. The Lord\'s instructions concerning this subject, which Mr. Peres rejects, is recorded in the following passage.\nTrain up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. \"Proverbs 22:6\"\nHis teachings concerning the elimination of national borders, and how this elimination will lead to world peace among the nations is another false teaching, and clearly a violation of God\'s law. My proof is recorded as follows:\nRemember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will show thee; thy elders and they will tell thee.\n\"Deuteronomy 32:7\"\nWhen the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds (borders) of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. \"Deuteronomy 32:8\"\nThe House of Israel not only gave us the Word of God, but their number also established the borders of the nations. How this was accomplished, I have documented in my writing entitled the Babylonian Economic System for those who may wish to know.\nWill the elimination of national borders lead to peace as Mr. Peres teaches? No-Way! Mr. Peres like all secular liberals is a servant of Satan the Devil.Concerning the times in which we live, the god that they serve will do the following according to the prophet Daniel.\nAnd through his policyalso he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.\nDaniel 8:25\nWe can see the fulfillment of this passage in our world today as hundreds of Israeli citizens are killed and wounded daily, while the leaders of the government of Israel does nothing to protect the lives of its citizens. Why? These government leaders care not how many Jews die as long as they can stay in power and perserve the Road Map to Peace. Why? Money is their God, not the God of Israel The Prince of\n princes is Israel\'s messiah.\nMr. Peres tells the young people of Israel to forsake their history, which means simply to forsake their God and his laws. When a national leader proclaims this type of doctrine; he is making a mockery of God. If the nation of Israel follows his doctrine, Israel is going to fall under the judgment of God. The fact that Mr. Peres is mocking God during this time frame in history points to the lateness of the hour. \nHistory clearly records; it was the God of Israel and his laws that perserved the Jewish people through two thousand years in Disapora. However, Mr. Peres teaches God and his laws should be replaced with science and technology. He further proclaims, science and technology will lead to world Peace and safety through the elimination of all national borders. \nSatan and his human agents, which includes Peres, Olmert, Bush, and Condi Rice will not be a legacy of Peace, but a legacy of death and destruction from the hand of the Most\nHigh God. Israel can join America in this coming judgment by following the teachings of Mr. Peres.\nThe scriptures teach that we are to\npray for the city of Jerusalem. Do you think Bush or McCain want a strong Jewish leader in Israel (like a David) with faith in God and the moral courage to withstand their evil plans against Israel? No. I wrote the following letter to John McCain. It appeared in our local newspaper. I have no faith in George W. Bush or in John McCain. To me Bush is phony Christian; a charlatan. So is McCain in my opinion.\n\nDear Senator McCain,\n I am a thirty-seven year registered Republican, former eight year Republican party activist here in north-central Florida. My late father, Harvey Klein was our party chairman, state committeeman, chairman of the state party rules committee, ect., friend and supporter of Governor Jeb Bush. \nDays after the September 11, 2001 Muslim terrorist atrocities on American soil, President George W. Bush became the first U.S. president to make his vision for the establishment of a Palestinian state a formal goal of U.S. policy. Unless folks are living in another universe, we all know this Palestinian Muslim state will be a terrorist state, dedicated to Israel\'s destruction. \nMr. Bush had his \"vision\" of a Palestinian state -- the dismantlement of whole Jewish communities in Gaza and northern Samaria -- codified in our August 2004 national party platform. In August 2005, thousands of Jews were forcibly expelled from communities in Gush Katif, Gaza and from northern Samaria according to administration policy and our party platform request. Many of these Jews are now languishing without decent housing promised them by their government. Meanwhile, Gaza has descended into a Hamas-controlled terrorist enclave; amassing huge stores of sophisticated weaponry; firing rockets into southern Israeli communities on a daily basis. The southern town of Sderot is under daily siege from rocket attack. Residents have a mere twenty seconds or less to find shelter once the alarms go off. \nGiven your extensive background in foreign policy, military and defense matters, I do not need to explain to you the vital security importance to the strategic land -- the mountains of Judea and Samaria; the so-called West Bank --- Mr. Bush is dedicated to providing a state for America\'s and Israel\'s jihadist enemies. Palestinians routinely chant, \"Death to America.\" On September 11, 2001, Palestinians celebrated throughout the West Bank and Gaza.\nIt is my hope you will abandon our party\'s efforts to divide the land of Israel. It is my hope you will request our national platform writing committee change US policy aims relative to Israel; that the right of Israelis to live and build communities anywhere in the land of Israel be recognized; and that the Arab-world goal of eliminating the Jewish state be made public and repudiated. \nI will be carefully watching what you recommend be written in our national platform on Israel this coming August. I hope and pray you will do what is right and moral. If you choose to continue Mr. Bush\'s policies relative to Israel, I cannot see voting for Republican candidates at the national level, including president of the United States. Too bad that McCain\'s visit to Israel was coreographed by Olmert, because he really needed an education. \n\nMcCain must be made to understand that sacrificing Israel and creating the State of Palestine won\'t help solve the mess they made in Iraq. Technology will not help us.\n\nHitler Youth were brainwashed, as were the German people by and large; they were brainwashed in Nazi ideology. They considered Adolf Hitler their savior until the very end. Hitler\'s ideology did not help Germans when the allies began terror-bombing German cities, killing hundreds of thousands of German civilians, leaving many more maimed and homeless.\n\nWhat is more worrisome or ominous, is the fact that God is allowing Israel\'s economy to prosper, thus giving the Jews in Israel a false sense of security and prosperity. This does not bode well for us. There is a \"relative\" lull in jihadist terrorism at a time when Bush and Rice are pressuring Olmert and Livni to make deep, suicidal territorial concessions to arch-terrorist Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah terrorists; arming and training them at the same time.\n\nToo many Jews voted for Likud / Sharon in 2003 and then for Kadima / Olmert in 2006.
