Gilad Shallit. Also, I found that point you or Malkah made to be most interesting concerning the Pomogranite with 613 seeds. Aaron Lerner of IMRA is an expert in his field. I recall listening to him on INR a few years ago weekly when he had his own 15 minute segment. \n\nAs a gentile Chr. supporter of Israel, I find your show and blog most helpful for information as to what is happening in Israel over the past week. \n\nSincerely,\n\nTerry Stewart\n");

She didn\'t know Hebrew very well and  was just learning it in fact.  She got a call soon after her aliyah from a telemarketer who  was selling news paper subscriptions to a Hebrew language news paper.  The new immigrant told the telemarketer that she wasn\'t that proficient in Hebrew yet, so it would be a waste of her money to buy a subscription to a Hebrew daily.\nThe telemarketer, hearing that this woman was new to the country and needed help with Hebrew promptly gave her her own name and telephone number and told the new immigrant to call her whenever she needed help with Hebrew or needed a something translated.  Soooo then,,,, only in Israel!");

She asked the new olah if she wanted to buy a  subscription to a Hebrew newspaper.  The new olah said thanks,  but her hebrew was not that good yet to read news papers in Hebrew.   The telemarketer heard this, and then told the olah to take her name and phone number and call her any time she had needed help with her Hebrew, or needed someone to translate something. In his May 2nd. broadcast he stated, Islam was a 1400 yr.old lie, the prophet muhhammed a murdering pedophile, and the quran, a book of fables and lies.Remember, when satan tempted Eve; she saw that the fruit was \'good\'. Yeshua stated, you shall know them by their fruit, and, those who live G-dly lives will suffer persecution.");

Just an attempt to missionize the muslim world and trap them into embracing pagan catholicism. Never, never, never, trust what comes out of the mouths of these deceivers. Many Jews think the muslims are our worse enemies but time will show that the vatican is the source of ALL EVIL!");

He was freezing; and wrapping him up with me in my coat wasn\'t helping completely.  We were waiting for a bus to Givat Ze\'ev that only came once an hour.  A Yid approached us, and said, \"I got this sweater across the street a few days ago for 35 shekel.  Maybe you could get one for him.\"  I explained that if we moved from this spot, we would miss our bus.  He shrugged understanding, and walked away.  A few seconds later, he came back, removing his sweater.  \"I can get another one tomorrow,\" he said, wrapping his scarf and coat around himself, and handing the sweater to us.  When Dovid was wrapped in the over-large sweater, I handed him 40 shekel, all I had.  \"Give it to the man,\" I said.  I watched as Dovid thanked him, and handed him the money.  Again, the man walked over to us, and gave Dovid his scarf, too.\n\nDovid still has that sweater and the scarf, five years later, to remind him of the sweetness of a Jew.");

It hapened at the end of the month when I had to pay the makolet. It was with great embarassement that I went to the makolet and explained that I would not be able to pay her. I was mortified and embarassed that I would not be able to pay what I owed. I felt like I had been deceitful. She asked me what happened and I explained. Her response was don\'t worry about it pay when you can. This was not the end of her chesed. She then said you will have enough to worry about so don\'t worry about food come and take what you need and don\'t think twice about it. It took me six months to get back on my feet and never once did she make me feel uncomfotable. The government and all the goverment infrastructure may be corrupt however, \'Am Yisrael\' (the nation of Israel) is full of chesed.");

For years, whenever a conversation at a Shabbat meal wanders into the realm of lashon hara my daughter Rebecca says \"do you know they\'re making square watermelons?\".  It invariably leads to a joke or two and stops the conversation.  At this point we all know that \"square watermelons\" is a reminder not to speak lashon hara.  Changing the topic is sometimes better than giving a lecture on shmirat halashon.  No one ever gets insulted.");

As we returned to our place (someone\'s machsan converted in to a short stay apartment) Anote hung on the door explaining the cab driver tried already twice to return the wallet , driving from his home in Neve Ya\'akov to Har Nof -across town.Please call him when we got back to arrange its return. At about 3:45 am after his shift ended the driver came back with the wallet fully intact. The driver explained he was going just mail the wallet back to our home in Michigan but then he saw the picture of the Lubavitcher Rebbe ZT\'L WHICH WITH IT BEING ELUL fthis he explained compelled him to seek us out and as  a pre-Rosh Hashananh merit for his family, personally return the wallet. This act of kindness (the driver did not wear a kipa nor did he appear Sefardic ) transformed and put the trip to a whole diffrent level.");
