AddReply(451381,"Money in the eyes of galut Jews","ari","Yerushalyim","06/16/09","I agree with you about how galit Jews look at money in this way but i believe the problem is deeper than you think. In American culture Money is looked at as the goal of everthing so therefore they see it as evil, however money like everything else in the world is nuetral. In Israel we know this clearer, as money can be used to build factories in devlopment towns, fund yeshivot, get soldiers better equipment, or buy real estate from arabs. There si nothing wrong with pictures of rabbonim in a money changing store or any other work place because there is nothing wrong with money earned honestly. You mentioned that in downtown Jerusalem people shouldnt have the galut mentality however, the galut mentality exists in downtown jerusalem in the form of youngsters committing the worse kinds of aveirot a small distance from the holiest spot in the world. This the real galut mentality.");

The extensive construction of a sports facility (ball fields) and human waste depositories (latrines) were allowed and sanctioned by Israeli government officials in charge of construction there.  What religious significance do these structures have?  Why was this permitted in the first place?  If “redemption” ought to replace the “diaspora” mindset, how do you explain these contradictions?  There is no firm adherence to laws regarding legal and illegal construction in Israel, nor respect for the regulations of the Israeli Antiquities Authority. Even Yad Vashem is now just another tourist attraction for visiting politicians. Who will value Israel as an equal among nations until and unless we insist on compliance with law and respect for our religion?\n\n");

The problem is, the healthy youth are still identifying with the Galutnik system of their parents.  The day they stop identifying with it, the anti-Torah sysytem will fall as fast as the Berlin Wall fell when the youth of the USSR stopped identifying with the system of THEUIR fathers.");

Not only did he fail to ask his friend Roosevelt to intervene but  in fact he did his best to hide the slaughter of the European Jews, details of which were well known by 1942. He was terrified that any action on his part would fan the flames of anti-Semitism. Today most American Jewish \"leaders\" support the imposition of indefensible \"Auschwitz borders\" on Israel. They are terrified that opposition on their part may lead to the charge of \"dual loyalty\". Little has changed over the last 70 years !");

Yes a fight with shoving,bleeding and nasty languague.It so happens that the goyim were watching! A christian man wearing a kippa reading prayers in english saw it all. When are we going to get to the level where we are embarassed to have outsiders see what happens shabbos morning. No amount of yelling from the Rabbi helped for several months later the same thing replayed with other participants.An important halachic corrolary can be applied here.When you move to a new location, you take with you the chumros you once observed and accept new chumos from new location.Showing insensitivity to others seems to be a hallmark in Israeli society.One that I experienced first hand & was very difficult to come to terms with.");

Once the Jews begin to claim the promises of the Prophets concerning G-d\'s desire to regather His Remnant, then will the hosts of heaven shout, \"Blessed is he that comes in the name of the L-rd.\"\nTherefore, I say to the Jews in Israel, understand you calling!! The Prophets spoke of you concerning this generation.  What a fabulous miracle from G-d.  Don\'t look back at the Exile with its mindset.  Understand what G-d has done for you in this blessed generation.  Understand your purpose.  May His Eternal Kingdom come soon. ");
