Egypt sends a token tanker full every 10 days to 2 weeks to honor the 1979 Peace treaty that gave them back the Sinai Peninsula we held for 20 some years, and drilled oil.  No, we are far from dependent on them.  But judging from events of the last many years; ( I\'m not even talking about technological advancements; high tech exports, etc, etc) intransigence and more, I\'d say the Arab countries are increasingly dependent on US.
