There has always been some excuse why \'now\' is not the right time. \nBut we are not here for or because of politics.\nWe are here to build the country; to plant and harvest in spiritual terms, as well as the physical.We are here where H\'s Presence is continually upon us. \nMy children are shedding the golut mentality in a way that those living outside the Land could never understand. We live in the Land, loving Torah, the nation and the very soil. WE are prepared to fight for it. \nToday the challenge is to shed enough of the galut mentality to know that now is the time to come. Once you arrive, it will hopefully become even more real. ");

You see, for every 1 kosher restaurant, there are 10,000 non kosher. It\'s impossible to tell a Jew form a gentile, for the most part, here in California..with it\'s diverse lifestyle. And to my point, Jews can be Jewish here, if they want. There is no shortage of synagogues..from Progrssive to ultra-Orthodox. Just take a ride down a major street in a frum area..and look at all the Orthodox temples. We have collected millions to send several thousand Jewish youth to learn about their heritage and people, to Israel. How many remain permanently? I suppose it\'s a nice all expense paid vacation. You want more Jews, send Chabad to all those movie star homes with intermarriages and confused children..not knowing who they are? Israel needs US and vica versa. We are a ptr. ");

I am an activist online..but also write all my legislators, from Congressmen to Senators, to the Executive branch, and finally the Israeli consulate. I try to be a role model as a Jew. ( I am no Madoff or Abramoff). I believe we Jews have been chosen, and MUST be MORE ethical than anyone else. But we also need to stop having million dollar bar mitsvahs and weddings. Let\'s reach out to disenfranchised Jews instead with that gelt. Let\'s ease up on the conversion rules. (Read \"What is a Jew\" for my definition of who is a Jew. Tens of thousands of Jyews have lived in Yesha for decades,with wonderful life experiences,even with the threats,and despite Disengagements-past-and-planned. People not here are the losers,not the winners.Also,you seem learned: how do you explain Yosef\'s being willing to feed his brothers,and his care for them,after they had tried to murder him?The Torah is teaching us a lesson of brotherly unity,not short-sighted revenge;do you really think that Yosef was just a \"freier\"(chump)?You are right,I wouldn\'t hug evictors of Jews from their homes.But I would work to educate our dear brothers,even if it takes decades.So try listening a bit to Rabbi Shandalov: it ain\'t all roses here,but it beats Vienna hands down.");

If you care so much about the people who have the guts to live in Yosh, why are you not there, with them? I get the impression that you are a typical example of galut mentality. You are no different from those Jews who wildly decry Israel because its \"too militaristic\", \"too aggressive\", \"too nationalistic\" whatever. What they do from the extreme left, you just do from the extreme right. Same thing in the end. It\'s only a pretext for not making Aliyah, for not leaving the comfy-cosy Galut.
