They send truckloads of money into Gaza and refuse to defeat the enemy who constantly rain down rockets on Sderot/Ashkelon. There has historically been a good relationship between most Italians and the Jews that live there. There have been a number of very positive expressions of solidarity coming from the Italian government in the Last year or so. But still, any gesture such as this rather than sailing to Gaza on \"peace boats\" has to be viewed as positive. That it is coming from the top means the whole country sees it and actually  will be blessed as a whole for the actions of thses leaders.  Maybe the blessing will protect it sufficiently to resist the enemy better than the rest of Europe. BTW are you Italian?");

There may be a few exeptions, but I can testify that even the Federation of the Italia-Israel Friendship Associations, an officially pro-Israel group, was and is strongly in favor of \"disengagement\" and of \"disengagements\" for \"peace\". The only and small \"pro-Israel\" political party wants Israel to join the EU as if saying: you either like us or you\'re dead. In Italy there is only a handfull of people who think Israel has a right to exist and almost non of these because Israel is Jewish, but because it is \"the only democracy in the Middle East\". With other words, don\'t expect Esau to be Yacov, he is not. And there is no reason for Israelis to lick the boots of the Italians. Of course I have no comment on the Red X.");
