Our leaders have become emasculated - afraid to offend and do what is right for the Nation and for the people. Keep speaking out!");

If we the jewish people can regain our passion, the successes of our past will be duplicated and those of our future, fruitful and multiplied. Let us not divide ourselves from our culture, from our land, for it is unity that has ensured our survival. ");

I pray the LORD continues to give you insight and wisdom. I like to read Proverbs 8 when I read about the wisdom of God. I am from the USA but I would rather be living in Israel. The LORD bless Israel and Jerusalem her capital forever and forevermore.");

But American politicians do likewise. Whatever the polls favor, so do they.  Do I see a pattern there?  You bet.  Instead of being a “light unto the nations,” we seem to have become a vacillating mass of contradictions following corrupt and weak shadows that don’t know how to lead or where they are leading  us.  The people are not the problem.  We are a ship without a rudder floundering in dangerous waters. It looks like there is a direct correlation between technology and the status of unity and passion for the nation of Israel. As the former advances, the latter descends.  Where are the leaders?  If they don’t come forward soon, there won’t be a country to lead.  ");

It is quite normal. People will do almost anything to attain a sense of safety, even when it is illusory.\n\nA good tribe should have -\n\nFIRSTLY\n\nA worldview.\nA philosophy.\nA vision.\nA sense of purpose.\nA divine mandate.\n\nSECONDLY\n\nA base.\nA timetable.\nAn organisational structure.\nA command structure.\n\nTHIRDLY\n\nA name\nAn image/brand\nA website\nA bank account\n\n\nToo many tribes/organisations/charities/corporations/religious sects/peer groups etc. are very good at the manipulation of others and marketing part, i.e The third part. The op-ed isn\'t condemning Israel\'s leaders it is reminding them who they are and what their duty is toward Jews & the Jewish state. One too many of these leaders have been under criminal investigation and indicted for crimnal activities from Israel\'s former president to members of Shas, From former knesset member Blumenthal to Omri Sharon. From Olmert to Katsav. Judaism does not subscribe to the belief that only the guilt-free can cast the first stone. When Jews see their own people going astray they must point out the errors of their ways and redirect them. Lets remember that Noah was only righteous in his times--compared to those living in his time he was good. His big sin before God was that he saved only his own family and did not try to \"fix\" the people of his time and correct their ways. Kudos to Aliza for trying& caring.");
AddReply(364064,"Israel, wither goest thou?","Philip Siers","New Milford","11/21/08","My friend recently returned from a trip to Israel and no longer found it the country he has known for so many years. Somewhere the country has lost the spirit that once made it a beacon for Jews all over the world. Thank you Ms. Davidovit for providing some insight into this. The once guiding light for the Jewish people has been dimmed by corrupt politicians, religious and secular Talibanism, and devotion to Mammon instead of allegiance to the traditions that once made the country inspirtational. Only when those with menschlichkeit and a willingness to express their concerns in a manner that seeks to elevate not diminish will there ever be a return to the idealistic state that once was Eretz Yisrael. Again, thank you for your efforts.");

We may not be perfect but we,as Jews,do reflect the values of the Almighty and our values are written in the constitutions of many Western Nations e.g. the American Constitution—President Jefferson who helped write that great constitution considered THE VALUES OF SINAI AS THE PRIMARY BASE OF THAT GREAT NATIONAL CONSTITUTION. We Jews reflect those values--the only ones holding us back is ourselves BUT WE ARE THAT LIGHT TO LEAD NATIONS AND WE SHALL LEAD THE NATIONS TO A PERFECT WORLD.\nPresent leadership has no Jewish Soul but will pass away just as Zechariah FOREKNEW THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO--A NEW ISRAEL SHALL ARISE WITH THESE PRICELESS TORAH VALUES--VALUES THAT WILL UNITE ALL NATIONS AS ONE WITH THEIR MAKER.");

This article shot from the heart and hopefully hit some of Israel\'s leaders in the rear. Aliza is 100 percent right. Israel\'s leaders need to remember what it is exactly they are fighting for. AddReply(363871,"What the current crop of leaders need is","Gary","Monterey, CA","11/21/08","a simple doze of history.  These same Islamic fundamentists follow the pattern of Mohammad during the Battle of the Trench, when the Jewish army went to help the Meccans\' army at Medina to fight Mohammad\'s approaching army.  But when a wind storm separated the Jews from the Meccans, the Meccans retreated and Mohammad\'s army turned on the Jews and slaughtered them.  Later, when Omar reigned, he not only murdered thousands of Jews but, if any were allowed to live, they lived as second class humans  called \"dhimmis.\"\nTherefore, it is imperative to make all Jews know their history.  This will keep all Jews as Conservatives and eliminate Liberals.");
