They seem to walk amongst us but, in fact, they are living 3,000 years ago, drinking water that has never known a baptism.\n\nYes, relinquishing Gush Katif has and will do nothing for peace, but nor did the building of Gush Katif in the first place. Among those who mess with peace, the prior messers cleans up the mess.");

It is sad that in accepting surrender of Israeli lands, there never was an arab Palestine,strengthen the posiyion that ALL of Israel is temporary and baseless.40 years of reality on the ground are ignored and rejected when it applies to Israel. 100 years of fiction are accepted as real when it involves the arabs. How will Israel relocate and compensate 600,000 when they could not keep their promises to 6000? Who will pay who will build who will care? Israel is commiting suicide and the so called leaders do not have the decency to admit it? They will slaughter their children and break the families rather than be honest");
AddReply(362315,"Expellee- its not about the quality of life","Assaf","NYC","11/17/08","Leaving Gaza was not about improving the quality of life for neither side. It was an act of self preservation the Jewish state had to take  to solidify its majority in areas under Israeli control. Yes, the pains are great and security is worse, but these do not pose an existential threat to the state as an Arab majority does. Razing ordinary houses and leaving synagogues intact just goes to show how deviated is the Israeli thinking when it comes to the prospect of living in coexistence. What was the point in this? What was gained by razing these communities to the ground, leaving only piles of rubble for an impoverished population? What was the point in leaving the synagogues intact of all things? You say I don\'t know the Arab population. Here\'s a secret I\'ll share with you- I served 3 years in Hebron and Gaza, doing my reserve duties in Nissanit and Erez border crossing.");

The Negev is being bombed on an almost daily basis and even the Arabs in Gaza would welcome their Jewish employers back. \nAssaf you should learn a bit about the Arabs of Gaza. The houses were destroyed but the synagogues, public buildings and many greenhouses were not. The Arabs - Palestine doesn\'t exist and never did - razed the synagogues to the ground, despite the \"Holy Place\" signs in English and Arabic. Most of the public buildings were also razed by the Arabs, the others are being used by Hamas and El Aksa University to spread Antisemitism. The greenhouses were almost all looted and then destroyed.  ");

AddReply(361399,"Pulling out of Gaza was justified, destruction was not","Assaf","NYC","11/14/08","No sane Israeli would like to return to Gaza and re-establish the Israeli rule over the 1.5 million Palestinians living there. Pulling out of Gaza was its own reward, shifting the demographic balance decidedly in favor of the Jews in lands under Israeli control. However, there was no reason to destroy these homes and communities except for pure vengeance and scorched earth policy. For one, the settlers could have stayed in place and accept Palestinians citizenship, or Palestinian families could have moved to these fine houses which were mostly build by Palestinian labor anyway. Leaving nothing but rubble and destruction for the already poor Palestinian society to handle, Israel gave a very clear message that its policy is not geared towards coexistence and peace but brutality and coercion.
