Then spend time in the mountains or by the shore--far from the maddening crowd.  \n\nYou have contributed more than your share to Israel and the Jewish people.  It is time to take care of yourself.  \n\nOne meaning of the High Holidays is that we join in the work of creation.  The idea is that even HaShem gets tired  .   .   .  No surprise that we simple folk feel--from time to time--that we\'re \"done\".  L\'Shana Tova!");

What an intellectual pleasure to read your’ writings.\nBut, unfortunately, there’s no prophet in our own land (or something like this), now and in the past (I mean, first of all, Jewish history). So, … I’ll join you watching sports. \nWhat’s going on is a result of human being nature, and G-d took in the past, and will take care of this in the future. Nothing else unfortunately will help.\nAll the best. \nAlex, New York.\n");

Surrender, appeasement,blythely handing back security zones won with Jewish blood even as missiles launched from other security zones handed back fall from the sky and presiding over a family of shirkers of military service wouldn\'t sound like \"winning\"to Sandy Koufax,no matter how many Knesset seats Olmert\'s allies occupy.But then obama and the clintons toss words around in America with no thought of the integrity of their meaning either. I wonder what Olmert\'s definition of \"resigning\"is?");

That\'s what is exhibited by politicians & the media folk.\n\nThat\'s the reason why we don\'t see the truth coming out of them, nor do we trust what they tell us.\n\nFaith is a way of life.  It\'s not a denomination.  Faith is not a belief, but how we act out what we believe in.  \n\nIf we believe in the word of G-D & His promises, it causes us to have faith (confidence) in whatever we undertake.  This does not cause us to panic.  This is what is lacking in the Israeli leadership - tired of this, tired of that, etc.\n\nIf people follow the \'Golden Calf Theology\' of bowing down before a golden calf (instead of relying on the promises of G-D as given in His book), then they are not only confused, but they confuse others too.  This makes people lose trust in them. ");

Actually, the baseball metaphor(s) work pretty well as barometers of today\'s world. Free agency, steroids, steroids denial, massive revenues and huge salaries are somehow related to the small men and women running democracies in this era. The system promotes mediocrity and grasping, self-interest and selling out. It\'s true both in the US and obviously in Israel too. So maybe that\'s not where you were going with this, Engelhard, but it\'s food for thought. Where there was once Mays and Aaron and Clemente, now there is Bonds and Guerrero and Alex Rodriquez. They may still be great players, but they have different values. The team barely counts, and the fans are treated contemptuously. So bring back Sandy, by all means. Make him PM of Israel; much rather him than Tsipi or Shaul.");
