How sad that the clarion call is being made ONLY because the dati kids are now involved. Those kids need \'Dads\' in their lives who pay attention to what they are doing & block them when they are going in the wrong direction. Those who have these kinds of Dads rise above all the rest.\nThe 2nd thing is this: If you want them to put their trust in Torah, you have to undo the teachings on evolution first. This is a critical issue & it surprises me that only two weeks are given to Bere\'shit 1 to 11. Kids are taught to put their trust in evolution & doubt Torah beginning at about age 3 & a half. The city enacted a strict curfew for teens. With kids not allowed out at night unaccompanied by an adult, the city made a remarkably quick turnaround.\n\nUnfortunately, crystal meth is an extremely serious problem in the US. The fault lies with many, but primarily with two: First, the parents who send their \"at risk\" kids off to Israel with the naive hope that there\'s something in the air there that will solve the kids\' issues. Second, to the extent these kids are/were influenced by Rabbis to pray for salvation from a \"corrupt government\" --prayers that were unanswered -- those Rabbis must take ownership of the emotional fallout suffered by these fragile souls.
