The dance around the democratic golden calf has also not stopped. Big crime by the leaders is not punished through their appointed judges and brought to the public attention by the legal profession. Not even accusations from the state appointed religious leaders is to be heard! Israel how far have you fallen? Don\'t call me anyone a Jew, if you call Sharon, his follow up and the rest of his followers, true Jews!");

AddReply(110657,"The Political Branch","Steve","USA","07/07/05","I hear a criticism of the settlements for resorting to \"peace\" and working with the system instead of taking the responsibility.  The point in fact is that the settlements are what are under political attack directly with legislation that seeks to legitimize destruction of homes using a militarized force with yes -- automatic weapons to subject the population to threat and duress.  The settlements practice peace and are the true embodiment of that peace which is itself threatened.\n\nIn essence, these settlements are under duress, facing armed attack from several military presences.  To criticize these people for talking in a peaceful manner is not sensitive to that fact that there is an imbalanced armed conflict, in essence a war versus a very successful peace campaign.\n\nThe reason this camp talks peace is it really has no real weapons to talk otherwise, versus the other camps who are well armed mercenaries with stones in the best case.  It is not sovereign with its own army, but is subordinate in its speach to a couple of external armed forces who collectively just happen to be firing mortars.  Of course the whole world is sovereign to G-d, but also the world has standing armies to impose its will, and these armies cannot be ignored.\n\nBear in mind that this is in stark contrast to organizations such as the PA (mortar Pain in the Attic), which directly was authorized guns by the Israeli government and which indirectly is shipped additional weapons from Iran as in the Karnine A shipment with the goal of armed attack.\n\nIn summary, it is time to stop blaming the victim for being under attack.  The victim is relieved and celebrates when there is an uplifting of the threat, no matter where that uplifting comes from.  This is different than taking credit for the uplifting of duress, but more clearly taking credit for clearly communicating that duress so that brothers are empowered to not stand by watching their brother\'s blood.\n\nThe victim is in no position to stage a violent response now because of the present imbalance in arms as well as timing.  The right to bear arms is one of the fundamentals of maintaining freedom.  When that right along with the right to property ownership is forcefully taken from the victim, please do not put forth further accusations.\n\nThe simple fact of the matter is that this struggle is more than one about so-called extremists versus the government.  It is about peace and war.  Those who actually settle and practice real peace owe no explanation or apology to those who propose and practice war against innocents in all of its forms.  \n\nThe reformation of democracy fundamentally hinges on peace.  The goal of the settlement enterprise is that necessary reformation, that talking, and that clear communication, and not armed attack.  In this struggle, it is not sufficient to win one armed battle at the cost of losing one\'s national soul.  It is necessary to win the national soul back, and this takes more than sticks beating stones.  It takes patience and gentle conversation for the rock to give its water.\n");
