The death of Robin Williams has opened the floodgates of the best and worst. Best, because we've seen clips of some of his most outstanding performances in comedy and drama. Worst, as the media failed to honor the privacy request of the family at this traumatic time and reported highly personal details of his last moments. I have some reaction to this as you might imagine. Also, we look at a teaching from the weekly portion of Ekev guiding our attitude towards converts to Judaism- embrace or keep them at arm's length? By the way, when you and your pet are both hungry, who gets fed first? The show closes with thoughts on another teaching from Ekev that likely finds expression in other languages besides Hebrew and English- Man does not live by bread alone.
