Have you ever had a teacher who was a true educator, different from the rest, who changed the course of the rest of your life?
Dr. Mordechai Kedar, son of two Polish immigrants to Israel, had such a teacher for the Arabic language. The result was serving 25 years in the IDF military intelligence, and becoming an expert in Arabic language and culture.
Dr. Kedar shares the most important lesson in understanding the situation in the Middle East: one cannot view the Arab world from the eyes of a Western democracy. There are feuds within Muslim sects that have lasted for 14 centuries; a Western politician cannot "get them to change" in a dialogue lasting weeks or even months.
But is there a solution? Will Israel ever succeed in living at peace with her neighbors? Dr. Kedar has a revolutionary idea, based on the clans which already exist within Israel, that, according to him, just might work.
A regular guest on Israeli media in Hebrew, English and Arabic, Dr. Kedar also shares some of his wisdom regarding dealing with Arabic media.
Tune in to meet an intelligent thinker with a deep understanding of the events and people surrounding Israel, and to gain insight into what is happening, and how to use the media in our favor.
