The sages of Israel taught that every generation in which the Holy Temple is not rebuilt, is considered as if it is the generation in which it was destroyed. In this week's Temple Talk, Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman ascend the Temple Mount together with hundreds of Jews seeking to end the cycle of mourning and destruction, and begin the rebuilding. Our hosts our indeed convinced that our generation is ready to rebuild, and they share their reasons for their optimism in this special edition of Temple Talk recorded on the fast day of Tisha B'Av.

This week at the Temple Institute:

WEEKLY TORAH PORTION: VA'ETCHANAN: How important is the land of Israel? How essential is it to the children of Israel and to the fulfilling of the Torah of Israel? How crucial is it to all mankind that the nation of Israel is sovereign in the land of Israel? How vital is the land of Israel to G-d that He swore it to Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov and their descendants forever? Moshe reveals to Israel the land and its beauty.

THE TEMPLE MOUNT, TISHA B'AV 5774/AUGUST 5, 2014: VIDEO: Today, on Tisha B'Av, the day upon which the Holy Temple was destroyed, we came together with hundreds of Jews to the Temple Mount to fulfill the commandment of being in the holy place, to pray there for the welfare of the IDF soldiers who are defending all of Israel, and to show that the cycle of endless mourning can only end when the Jewish people are ready to accept responsibility for the rebuilding of the Holy Temple. That responsibility rests squarely upon our shoulders. The sages of Israel have taught that the Holy Temple can only be rebuilt once the nation has achieved a level of unity and unconditional love. Throughout the past few weeks, our nation has been witness to a level of unity that is almost unprecedented in memory. This is the type of unity and commitment that will enable our generation, with the help of G-d and with the will of the people of Israel, to rebuild the Holy Temple.

A GREAT MOMENT IN HISTORY: As Tisha B'Av comes to a end in Jerusalem, spend a minute contemplating the meaning of this powerful day.

WILL YOU MURDER AND ALSO INHERIT? A stolen plastic chair reveals the cruel and horrible reality that exists on the Temple Mount today.
