This week we read the Torah portion of Parashat Korach which details the controversy of Korach and his rebellion against Moshe's authority. And while the story of Korach is the very epitome of disunity amongst the Jewish people, in reality the very opposite is the case this week, as all of Israel unites as one man, suffering as one man, outraged and praying as one man, for the safe return of our three children, Eyal Yifrach, Naftali Frenkel and Gilad Sha'ar, who have been kidnapped by enemies of Israel. This week's Temple Talk is dedicated to these three boys.

This week at the Temple Institute:

WEEKLY TORAH PORTION: KORACH: "They say that vanity got the best of him..." Korach had it all: He was brilliant, well educated, a smooth talker, well versed in the art of communication. He was an aristocrat, a Levite whose privilege it was to bear the Ark of the Covenant across the desert. He was wealthy and well respected. He had it all but he wanted more. His "I, Me, Mine" attitude gave G-d no choice, as it were, but to put him out of His world. The earth opened up and swallowed him whole. Always seeking the limelight, "he sure left here in style."

BREAKING NEWS: RED HEIFER BORN: Emblematic of the rapid unfolding of events in these crucial times of redemption, a red heifer was recently born. The owners of the red heifer contacted the Temple Institute to share the news and receive instructions concerning the proper care of the red heifer. The Temple Institute contacted a professional documentary film producer who provided this exclusive footage of the red heifer.

The ashes of the red heifer are necessary for the final preparation of the sacred vessels to be used in the Holy Temple, and for the purification of the kohanim (Temple priests) who will serve in the Holy Temple.

The Temple Institute, together with the entire nation of Israel, prays for the speedy and safe return of Eyal Yifrach, Naftali Frenkel and Gilad Sha'ar, who have been kidnapped by enemies of Israel. We ask that you join us in solidarity and prayer for the lives of these three Jewish children:

Ayal ben Iris Teshura
Yaakov Naftali ben Rachel Devora
Gilad Michael ben Batgalim
