The month of Adar Bet is here and with it brings Purim. Here's some tips on how to be happy.

Our Sages teach us that when we begin the month of Adar, we increase our joy. It's the month that contains the happy holiday of Purim, and being aware of that, we build our excitement because the Jews of Persia were redeemed from wicked Haman, and we anxiously await our next BIG redemption. Happy, happy.

But is it easy to just turn on the "happy" switch? "Happy everyone, smiles" we can hear a stage director scream to the cast. In truth, happiness seems to be a huge challenge in our days, and this show is going to share some major pillars of happiness, what we can do to be happier and more satisfied. Rabbi Elan Adler served as a pulpit Rabbi for 25 years in Stamford, Ct and Baltimore, Md prior to making aliyah in 2010. Rabbi Adler received his Smicha from Yeshiva University, had the privilege of being an aide to Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik for two years, was an activist Rabbi in support of Israel and aliyah, and served as the President of the Baltimore Board of Rabbis. During his tenure as a Rabbi, he was known for being an engaging speaker and teacher, never failing to make easy connections with Jewish people as well as the non-Jewish and African American community.
