Young Israelis from the Mizmor School headed by jazz virtuoso Daniel Zamir are creating new compositions based on the poetry of Avraham Stern, the radical underground leader of the Lechi - Lohamei Herurt Yisrael (Fighters for the Freedom of Israel). Chaya Bar Nes of the Uri Zvi Greenberg Center in Jerusalem talks about Avraham "Yair" Stern's life, music, revolutionary Zionism and how it affects students today. Listen to some of the student's music from the upcoming tribute concert, plus reworkings of Lechi songs from Shlomo Artzi, SHI 360 and a classic version by Shlomit Livnat.

Plus, an interview with the new head of the Mizmor School Daniel Zamir on his unique Jewish jazz music and his journey to spirituality.

The concert will take place at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem on Wednesday January 29th at 8:00pm.
