The Struggle begins! Who will lead the world and who will be responsible? Esau, the materialist, fatalist man of short term vision and momentary glory, who works to subjugate the heavens to the earth, and life to death, versus Yaakov, the man of the spirit and vision, the eternal, immortal man who works to elevate the earth toward the heavens, infusing life and meaning into our thoughts and deeds. The conflict rages on today as Israel battles the Esauvian forces of death, destruction and deception which are dancing all around her. The newest battleground is the oldest: The Temple Mount! The lines have been drawn: Whose side are you on?

This week at the Temple Institute:

WEEKLY TORAH PORTION  TOLDOT: The classic tale of deception and intrigue. But who is deceiving who? and who is really being fooled? Ya'akov  dons precious garments and goat skins, but by doing so is he deceiving his father Yitzchak, or is he opening Yitzchak's  eyes for the first time to a lifetime of deception he has suffered at the hands of Esau, the real master of the bluff?

AMERICAN FRIENDS FOR A SAFE ISRAEL ON THE TEMPLE MOUNT: Sunday morning Rabbi Chaim Richman hosted a group of twenty representatives of Americans for a Safe Israel, led by AFSI Executive Director Helen Freedman, on their traditional ascent to Temple Mount. Full story:
