Also, how much do today's American university students know about the Holocaust, World War II and Genocides? Not much, according to an informal series of interviews with youth on 4 different university campuses in Pennsylvania. Watch this astounding video of the complete ignorance from college students, here
. Rhonda Fink-Whitman
, author of the book, "94 Maidens
", joins Tamar and talks about her efforts to get American public schools to teach about the Holocaust and World War II, so the next generation of Americans can know the truth about genocides and help prevent them in the future.
Lastly, Jerusalem City Council Member, Arieh King, Director of the Israel Land Fund, joins Tamar and talks about the biggest issues facing Jerusalem today, including security, building new homes, city garbage and noise pollution from mosques and Arab celebrations. A very informative and optimistic talk ensues!
Tamar Yonah is the daughter of a Holocaust survivor. Her father survived the Nazi brutalities and after liberation, made his way to the shores of the British Palestine Mandate, where again fighting for his survival, fought in Israel's war of Independence. This made a great impression on her life and she too has been fighting for Israel by serving in the Israeli army & air force, and afterwards by becoming an activist for Israel and the Jewish nation. She has been a vocal beacon of light since beginning a prolific career in radio. She hosts The Tamar Yonah Show - Israel's most popular English language radio talk show. She also writes a biting and sometimes humorous, award winning blog that discusses current events, religion and politics. www.israelnationalnews.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/3#
