They spread out and build eye-sore tin shacks and make shift tents, and then claim the area as their own. Arab Bedouin Nomads are stealing Jewish land and at the same time refuse to enter the 21st century. Walid Shoebat, author of the book, "Why We Want to Kill You", describes the land-grabs of these nomadic Bedouin. Attempts of the Israeli government to assist them out of a life of certain poverty, it forces them to educate their children and send them to school. So far, Israel has reduced the Bedouin population's illiteracy rate from 95% to 25% giving their children a more promising future with more options and choices. However, there is still resistance and friction with about half the population of the Bedouin who continue to live like they did under the Ottoman empire, setting up house in a wandering manner.
