A ‘Cambridge University Union’ debate with an unusual sting in the tail. A Jewish student argues for the motion and wins for Israel. Any listener interested in well reasoned argument will be fascinated by this. It’s like a good book that one cannot put down.
Also: An illuminating interview with the author of Hyde & Seek , a book with the subtitle ‘Jewish Women and Hair covering’, Some reviewers’ comments: “This book opens the door to dialogue on a subject that's usually hushed up”; “This is a well-edited anthology of essays by a wide variety of Jewish women who for one reason or other chose to cover her hair, according to traditional Jewish practice”; “This is a very informative book”; “The practices differ in different communities and Ashkenazic and Sephardic and Chassidic wives behave differently, and there are also deviations within these groups."
