We have entered a new era in Israel with 2 new Chief Rabbis....or have we? Each is the son of a former Chief Rabbi, and therefore has had a front row seat to the immense responsibilities and challenges the position entails. Will the Chief Rabbis pretty much follow in the footsteps of their fathers or will they forge new trails to meet the spiritual needs of Israel's Jews? Will they quietly lead from behind and really be the Chief Rabbi of a tiny sliver of our people, or will they reach out and speak out and be the Chief Rabbis of ALL the Jews in Israel? I have 10 derech eretz suggestions for our new spiritual leaders, and I hope they have put some of them on their agenda for the next 10 years. Here's wishing them every success!

Please be in touch with me at, keep that Derech Eretz thing going, my friends, and have a great week!
