Justice or diplomacy?

On today’s Reality Bytes Radio, with Josh Hasten – Shurat HaDin (Israel Law Center) head Nitsana Darshan-Leitner expresses her frustration with the Israeli government’s decision to break its promise and prevent a key intelligence witness from testifying in a US court against the Bank of China for their involvement in financing terror.  Darshan-Leitner explains that because of a recent upswing in diplomatic relations between Israel and China, which could be potentially positive for the economy,  it’s still the government’s responsibility nevertheless to seek justice by punishing those who support organizations that murder Jews as policy.

Also on the program an interview with Sophie Klooster, a Dutch field hockey player currently in Israel amongst 9,000 Jewish athletes competing in the 19th Maccabiah Games. Klooster and a few other participates have become the ‘face’ of these games, with her picture visible throughout Jerusalem, on signs promoting the sporting events.
