Rabbi Yeshayahu Hollander was born in New York but raised in Tel Aviv during the heady years of the founding of the State of Israel. He studied in the best yeshivas and the best universities in Israel, and worked as a patent attorney for over 25 years.

Now in retirement, Rabbi Hollander serves as the Deputy Head of the Nascent Sanhedrin.

What is a Sanhedrin? It is the governing religious body, meant to represent the entire Jewish Nation. It is something that had been in place in some form since the time of Moses and his father-in-law Jethro until after the destruction of the Second Temple. Its resurgence has been attempted, unsuccessfully, twice in the past two millennium. In the year 2004, the nascent Sanhedrin was reestablished in Tiberius.

Rabbi Hollander has two specialties in the framework of the Sanhedrin: he works with Noahides, and with Muslims.

In this exclusive interview, Rabbi Hollander shares many stories from the past and the present, and shares his refreshing perspective on the way Jews ought to relate to non-Jews, both Christian and Muslim. He talks about Geulah (redemption), about Teshuva (repentance) and about personal responsibility.
