When is the best time to teach your kids about money, and how do you do it? On this week's show, Doug meets Ron Lieber, a columnist for The New York Times. In 2011, Ron won the Loeb award, a prestigious honor in the world of business journalism, in the category of personal finance. Ron is also the author of Taking Time Off: Inspiring Stories of Students Who Enjoyed Successful Breaks from College and How You Can Plan Your Own and Upstart Start-Ups. He is also writing a book for Harper Collins called The Opposite Of Spoiled, about teaching young people money management.
In the second half of the show, Doug meets Professor Kenneth Arrow, who at the age of 51 was the youngest person to win the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1972. Stanford Professor Arrow shares the social choice theory and how it affects our lives today. Don't miss out on hearing this interview on the Goldstein on Gelt show this week.
