Turkish Armenian and pro-Israel blogger Ege Berk Korkut gives an update on the Istanbul "green" protests this week, which morphed into anti-government and pro-human rights demonstrations. Korkut says that while the majority of Turks support Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, there are many who feel he is turning Turkey into a fanatical Muslim State and is taking away their freedoms.
Orim Shimshom, a born Iraqi Muslim now living in London who after growing up in a community that preached anti-Semitism disguised as Anti-Zionism, now publically stands with the Zionists in his community, for Israel and in favor human rights and against fascist movements. He says that while religious leaders attempted to brainwash him, as they do many other Muslims, while in Jordan in 1999 and witnessing happiness in the streets after a suicide bombing in Israel, he started to search for the truth in regard to the State of Israel and the Jewish people.
Interview with Akiva Gersh a teacher at the Alexander Muss Hebrew High School in Israel who initiated a campaign on Facebook dedicating June 7th as Ahavat Chinam Day (unconditional love), in which he is calling for all Jews to partake in random acts of kindness towards their fellow man. Gersh, feels strongly that only through Jewish unity can all other issues and problems we face today, fall into place.
