On today's Reality Bytes Radio with Josh Hasten, Pnei Kedem resident Micahel Lourie details a near-lynch last week in which a gang of Arabs at Gush Etzion's "Tzomet ha-T" attacked the car in which he was traveling (with his wife and child), with a barrage of rocks. Lourie says that despite being armed and fearing for his life - since the attack happened so fast, and the perpetrators immediately fled, he had no chance of defending himself. Lourie says that rock attacks have become a norm which need to be stopped as this is the not the first time he has experienced such an incident, with many neighbors having similar encounters.
Also on the program, Alon Shevut resident Cheryl Mandel talks about her organization "Tzevet Daniel" named after her son who died a hero as an IDF soldier fighting terrorists. Mandel is currently organizing a group of runners/walkers to participate in the March 1, Jerusalem Marathon on her team in order to raise funds for a special therapeutic program to benefit residents of the south who experienced more than a decade of rocket attacks.
Finally, our scholar-in-residence Rabbi Guy Avihod revels the true core meanings of the holiday of Purim – Belief in G-d, Jewish action, and more than anything Jewish unity.
