On today's "Reality Bytes Radio with Josh Hasten," in-depth coverage of the 19th Knesset elections. On the program we start with professional pollster and commentator Mitchell Barak who says that while Prime Minister Netanyahu may have won the election "battle" he may not have won the"war." He adds that an underlying story in the election might be the eventual comeback of former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, since Kadima was successful in crossing the electoral threshold.

Also on the program, Israel Institute of Strategic Affairs Director Dr. Martin Sherman says that the the individual whom the next Prime Minister chooses as Minister of Defense will be key in Israel's maneuverability in thwarting the Iranian threat. He adds that the Likud's disappointing showing in the election can be attributed to several factors including the merger with the Yisrael Beitenu party in addition to the fact that PM Netanyahu failed to call for elections last summer.

Finally, we hear from Knesset elect Rabbi Dov Lipman whose Yesh Atid Party led by Yair Lapid was the surprise election success story garnering 19 seats. Lipman is the first US-born Knesset member since Rabbi Meir Kahane. He says that he is ecstatic that he will have the opportunity to unite the people of Israel and especially that he will have the chance to serve as the voice of the Anglo community in the Knesset.
