I teach a class every week to high school English speaking girls in Jerusalem. I extract Derech Eretz lessons from each weekly Torah portion, which is not always easy. There are no signals that call out, "Hey, this is a derech eretz lesson!" It's often just a bit below the surface. This week, mining the portion of Bo, we find amazing lessons on helping people feel that they are not alone in their misery, we focus on the dogs that didn't make a sound during the plague of the first born, and notice that what God did with the locusts is a shining example of good etiquette. I do this every week with my class and pass out a sheet with the weekly lessons. If you'd like a copy of these sheets, let me know at
