On today's Reality Bytes Radio with Josh Hasten, we breakdown the so-called ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. While the 'ceasefire' went into effect last night, at least 20 Hamas fired rockets have landed in Israel. Plus terrorists shoot at a bus in Gush Etzion and there are security warnings abound.
Attorney Lawrence Sternthal was at his desk inside Tel-Aviv's Azrieli Towers when he heard the boom outside his window. Thinking that it was perhaps a rocket hit from Gaza, he was shocked to see a blasted-out bus below. He describes the maddening scene of this week's Tel Aviv terror attack on the show.
Also, Shavei Israel Director and columnist Michael Freund says that the so-called "ceasefire" was the latest in a series of strategic security mistakes made by Israel starting with the expulsion and destruction of Gush Katif. Ret. Israeli Ambassador to Eastern Texas and Minister of Congressional Relations at the US Embassy in Washington Yoram Ettinger says that the 'ceasefire' is "a delusion in the battle against terrorism." He adds that a victory or devastation does not come about through agreements, but forcing the enemy to submit, something that didn't happen in this latest operation against Hamas.
