Born Again….and then Again!
Dale started out with a couple of simple questions to his religious teacher. He was answered by being thrown out if his classroom. That began Dale’s journey to Judaism and making Aliyah.
There are certain religions that are ”believe like us or else” religions. Many have been forced into those religions and to this day their decedents are the religion they are due to an ancestor being give the choice…”Believe like us or die.” Usually you find peddlers of these faiths passing out pamphlets or even banging on your door with the idea that they need to “save you”. In other parts of the world they aren’t as nice…they just plain do away with the “Infidels” I guess it saves paper?
“Believe like us or Die!”
Then you have people like Dale, who aren’t buying into the standard party line and made his own decision regarding his believe system which took him on an interesting and excited road that led him to what he is today. He chose to be a Jew. Judaism had no eBelieve like us or else…” In fact, there is no need for a non Jew to become a Jew. Non Jews are fine just the way they are. So why in the world would someone choose to become a Jew?
Dale will explain why he decided to become a Jew and carry a big gun! It’s been over 30 years since he made his choice and now he, his wife and all his Jewish decedents are living happily ever after as Proud Zionist Jews in Israel.
“My parents were quite upset about my decision. It took some time, but now I have a great relationship with my non-Jewish family in the States,” reminisced Dale. “I have a Bible thumpin’ born-again cousin that I speak to all the time. He and I go at like cats and dogs, it’s great fun.” Dale added.
Making Aliyah wasn’t on Dales agenda, he wanted to “visit” but once he got to Israel, everything changed and he was struck by “Aliyah Fever.” You too can catch Aliyah Fever, every Wednesday 12pm Eastern, 7pm Israel time on http://www.
