      Preparing for the Retirement Blues

As adults, we spend so many years of our lives worrying about money and how to support our families. A lot of energy is invested in training for a profession or learning a trade, and afterwards so much time goes into working for a living. So how does it feel when you reach a certain age and it’s time to retire? Apart from the financial side of retirement, there is the emotional side – just how does it feel when you don’t have to get up in the morning anymore to get the train to work? And what will you do with yourself? Is it worth getting up in the morning at all? For some great answers to these questions, tune into the Goldstein on Gelt show to listen to therapist Diane Lang, who returns to the show to talk about how to prepare for your golden years.

How the Grateful Dead Can Teach Us a Thing or Two About Marketing

“Marketing” is one of the watchwords of today’s generation. So much of the fashions that are followed, including the books that are read, the clothes that are worn, and the news that everyone likes to read or watch, are governed by how they are packaged and sold. Advertising and marketing has changed a lot over the years. Where once upon a time many products were successfully marketed through newspaper ads and billboards, in today’s world the internet is the prime factor. On this week’s Goldstein on Gelt show, marketing strategist and author David Meerman Scott talks about marketing in the modern world, and how we can learn a lot about selling our products from the rock band The Grateful Dead, even though they were around long before the internet. Find out how by listening to the Goldstein on Gelt show on Monday night at 7pm.
