This week Doug Goldstein of Goldstein on Gelt interviews Edmund S. Phelps, winner of the 2006 Nobel Prize for Economics. Edmund Phelps is McVickar Professor of Political Economy at Columbia University, Director of Columbia’s Center on Capitalism and Society. In his interview, he shares his predictions for the western economy’s future and discusses the issues that are so relevant to the economic world today.

In the second half of the show, we meet Ann Rutledge, a founding principal of R&R Consulting, and an adjunct assistant professor of asset securitization at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and visiting lecturer at the University of California at Irvine.
