The History of Arutz Sheva - Part 1 - The Music Department

Arutz Sheva was a pioneer in terms of music in Israel. Find out how this station revolutionized Jewish, Chassidic and Sephardic music for the masses. Rachel Elbaz has worked at Arutz Sheva's music department for the past 18 years. She tells old stories from the days of ship about storms at sea and about the Shlomo Carlebach Saturday night program.
But most interstingly, she talks about how Arutz Sheva set the trend by broadcasting strictly Hebrew, Israeli and Jewish music in an age when top 40 pop hits from America and England dominated the Israeli airwaves.
