Human beings have an amazing capacity to adapt to various
circumstances--both wonderful and difficult.  How can we use this
aspect of human nature to our utmost advantage?
Why do we get used to some things, but not all things and not always?
How can this work for and against us when it comes to pleasurable and
painful experiences?  How does the principle of adaptation apply to
the phenomenon of "keeping up with the Jones' --whoever they are!)
Understanding the phenomenon of hedonic adaptation offers insight on
both theoretical and very practical aspects of human nature.

Relationship Skills:  The importance of recognizing how your partners
'standard of living' will effect your relationship.

Segment 2:

Parenting in a Nutshell:  How the principles of adaptation apply to
parenting our children.
