David Levy survived his complicated childhood in a Jamaican neighborhood in Birmingham, England. Always believing in G-d, he started reading the Bible. But the Bible had many versions. David started noticing that each version was a different translation of the original.
He decided to go to the source: Hebrew. David started teaching himself the ancient, original language. Then he started going to synagogue. The reformed Temple was nice, but he felt the need to find the source. The Orthodox community in Manchester then became his home. He learned more and more about Torah and G-d, and decided to visit the source: Israel. David came to Jerusalem in 2001 and stayed.
Tune in to hear David Levy's take on redemption, one's relationship with G-d, and his connection to the earth.
Don't miss it!
David Levy will be performing the evening of Jan. 28th with Jerusalem folk legend Yehuda Ledgley at the 3rd Ear on Emek Refaim Street in Jerusalem.
