Tamar Interviews Professor Mordechai Nisan, author of the book, "Only Israel West of the River: The Jewish State and the Palestinian Question".
The country Jordan was manufactured by the British, and given over to the Hashemite Family to rule. However, Jordan's population today is mostly Arabs who identify themselves as 'Palestinians'. Is Jordan then the answer for being the new 'Palestinian State'? And if so, how would the Arabs in Gaza and Ramallah feel about that? Would they accept it, and would the Jews accept it? Prof. Nisan delves into the reasons why Jordan should not be under the rule of a King who is not accepted by most of its citizens, when it comes to possibly solving the mid-east conflict.
In his book, he states:
"Hashemite regime survival cannot be a more legitimate imperative than Palestinian national self-expression and political rights."
He also describes what Israel would look like in the future, if indeed this idea was implemented. Find his book HERE.
