Actualizers turn Adversity to Advantage
The Israeli economy benefits from its citizens' innovation and problem solving traits; How a small nation makes a big difference
Jerusalem attracts an eclectic mix of people from all over the world.
Michael Horesh is an independent business consultant who credits- among other things- conservative fiscal behavior and ingenuity for Israel's relative financial stability. As the PIGS in Europe struggle, how and why will Israel fly?
'Israel Inside' is a new film, narrated by popular former Harvard psych professor Dr. Tal Ben Shachar, that delves into the reasons for Israel's unique strengths and ability to turn adversity into advantage. Strong family ties, the idea of tikkun olam, the 'actualizers', even old fashioned chutzpa all figure in the whole being much more than the sum of our parts. Producer and editor Wayne Kopping and writer Rebecca Shore join Eve to talk about their roles in the project. Premiers November 29th on WPBT Florida, and then the world.
Eve Harow, host of Judean Eve is a long-time community activist and tour guide from the Judean hills. Her extensive work in Israel advocacy has taken her all over the world.
