Segment 1

An independent Jewish State; for all the reasons in the world.

"Why Be Jewish?" is a delightful, rather eclectic book by bestselling author Doron Kornbluth.  Kornbluth, who travels the globe inspiring all kinds of audiences about their Jewish identity, draws on sources as disparate as John Lennon, the Dalai Lama and Martin Luther King to make his point about the relevance of Judaism. Stay Jewish, for all the reasons in the world.  Or just one, that's fine too.  www.mosaicpress.com

Segment 2

KayamaMoms was created to provide tools and support to Jewish women who are reaching the eve of their fertility and are considering becoming single moms, as well as to women who are already single mothers. Their board of advisors, which includes doctors, social workers and rabbis, provides women with the knowledge and support they need to adopt or give birth to a baby and integrate into Jewish communities in Israel and around the world.  Yael Ukeles, one of the organization's founders and mother to 9 month old Amitai, joins Eve for a very personal talk on a very sensitive topic, the day after the opening event attracted a full house in Jerusalem.   Not easy choices and a lot for us all to learn on many levels.  www.kayamamoms.org

Gavriel Rosenberg travelled a long way to arrive at today's graduation ceremony of his basic training stint in the IDF.  The US Navy, family tragedies and a sense of destiny brought him to his new home in Israel and the challenges he clearly relishes.  A heartwarming interview with a tenacious young man who is a wonderful addition to the ranks, and a pride to his people.

Eve Harow, host of Judean Eve is a long-time community activist and tour guide from the Judean hills. Her extensive work in Israel advocacy has taken her all over the world. Each week she discusses archaeology, nature and interviews Israelis on current events in the Middle East and the Jewish world.
