A sixteen-year-old with the last name Cohen finds out that he is technically not Jewish. A woman with no Jewish background comes to a rabbi's house to learn more. Gabriella interviews two different people on the subject of converting to Judaism in Israel. One guest is from a yeshiva in Bnei Brak. The other is from the Joint Conversion Institute in Jerusalem. Hear about how people from all over the world come to join the Jewish nation, just like the Biblical Ruth, whose story we read on the Shavuot holiday.

Gabriella Licsko is a lecturer on Jewish history and society focusing on different religious communities. She leads tours of different neighborhoods in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as well as tours across the country. Gabriella holds a bachelor's degree in Culture Studies and a master's degree in Jewish Studies and made aliyah from Hungary in 2007. She hosts the Welcome to the Tribe podcast every Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Israel National Radio.
