In a riveting edition of Temple Talk, Rabbi Richman and Yitzchak Reuven explore some fascinating Midrashic traditions about the early lives of both Moshe and Yitro, and explore the theme that emerges: Each one of us must develop the courage to change, in order to become the person we could really be. And isn't that the goal of the giving of the Torah and the Ten Commandments, which happens in this week's Torah reading of Yitro? It's all about change... on an individual, national, and global level. Our hosts welcome special guest Jim Long, noted Noachide author, acclaimed documentary filmmaker, publisher and radio personality (www.lightcatcherprod.com), who shares the odyssey of his life's journey.

This week from the Temple Institute:
WEEKLY TORAH PORTION: YITRO, with Rabbi Chaim Richman.
"I am Hashem your G-d. " (Exodus 20:2) This is the first commandment and it is essentially the last. G-d has woven His name throughout the entire Torah, and His presence throughout all of creation. To know His name and to believe in Him is the entirety of of all the commandments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kw8GX-wzYms

LIGHT TO THE NATIONS, with Rabbi Chaim Richman: The Priestly Garments: Part III: To Make and to Wear: The priests are commanded to wear the priestly garments in order to perform the Divine service. But first, it is a commandment which falls upon the shoulders of all Israel to participate in the creation of the garments, either by employing their particular expertise, or by financially supporting the acquisition of the raw materials for the garments and their manufacture. http://universaltorah.com/programming/category/temple-institute-light-to-the-nations
