The site of one of Israel's greatest ecological failures this short-sighted health hazard in the population's heart, is a vast bird feeder that endangered flights at Ben Gurion Airport, is now a UN recognized leader in turning waste into profit. Chiriya's green technological incubator is spawning companies around the world. At the suggestion of the Israel Antiquities Authority, Friends of the Ariel Sharon Park invited Foundation Stone to partner in launching a participatory excavation for the neighboring communities and visitors to uncover their heritage and history no matter where they are in the religious spectrum. Director Raanan Boral's vision is that Israelis in the densest urban population of the country will walk out of their homes and into the park to revive the once-common interest in discovering the secret of the land.
