Nitzavim speaks of idolatry. Today’s idolatry is the denial of G-d. The Baal Shem Tov taught that thoughts of apostasy are no more and no less than a moment of Divine judgment, (in truth a test and a way back to G-d).

Focus on Rosh HaShana and the Holy Temple: The foundation stone - where and when it all began - the first point of creation, the place of the altar, the place and the day of Adam’s creation. Little wonder all Adam’s descendants are judged on this day! Adam’s offering, Cain and Abel’s offering, Noah’s offering, and the binding of Isaac, all took place here and now, on Rosh HaShana, on Mount Moriah, in the very place of the altar, and on this day the barren matriarchs were all remembered with seed! On the steps of the Sanctuary: The unique commandmant of blowing the shofar at the Holy Temple: “before the King – Hashem” in the company of silver trumpets!
