The 25th day of Elul marks the first day of creation and Rosh HaShana marks the birthday of Adam. All six days of creation are taking place now! We can be witnesses to these days just as the “men of distinction” were witnesses in the Holy Temple during the daily Tamid offering.
Teshuva - repentence - and turning back the clock: When our repentance is motivated by fear of G-d – He recalibrates our evil deeds as if they were only mistakes; When our repentance is motivated by love of G-d – our evil deeds are transformed by Him into merits!
Sounding the shofar – a wordless tribute to the one King, recreating the breath of life, and retracing its path from the narrow to the expansive – sweetening the judgment!
