(IsraelNN.com) The Israel Manufacturers Association is calling on the treasury and Histadrut labor union to bring an immediate end to the strike that has resulted in “disengaging Israel from the world,” resulting in an almost total shutdown of the nation’s major seaports. According to Oded Tira, head of the Manufacturers Association, a number of factories have been compelled to totally stop production and damage during the nine-day strike is estimated at NIS 1.4 billion. Over 40 ships turned away from the port, unable to unload merchandize, and manufacturers are unable to meet orders and deadlines.
