Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terrorists, armed with assault rifles and rocket propelled grenade launchers, stormed into a Palestinian Authority (PA) office in Gaza City this week to demand that the PA resume primary elections. Three days earlier, a different gang of Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terrorists forced polling stations in Gaza to close on grounds of fraud.

The PA postponed the primaries until Saturday amid charges of widespread voter irregularities. One man was quoted by a mainstream Arab newspaper that he voted 30 times. Voting resumed in Hevron Friday but was disrupted by violence in Kalkilya, and ballot boxes were torched in a village near Shechem,

The primaries are to select the list of candidates, including jailed terrorists, for the PA legislative elections scheduled for late January.

In Rafiah, 70 armed terrorists dressed in military uniforms closed the main downtown area to demand salaries, according to the Palestine Information web site.

The chaos in Gaza came days after the "young generation" scored impressive victories in primaries in Judea and Samaria, where convicted terrorist Marwan Barghouti won in a landslide. He is in an Israeli prison serving multiple life sentences for murder, but the PA is hoping that if Barghouti wins a seat, which is almost certain, pressure will increase on Israel to release him.
