Last night and this morning, following the Israeli incursion into Jenin and the IDF\'s surrounding of Bet Jala, there were fewer violent incidents than in the past few days. It was, however, far from peaceful in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.

One civilian, a Jewish boy from the Samaria region, sustained light injuries in a stone-throwing attack near the Arab village of Chawara. South of Jerusalem, Arabs shot into Jewish homes in Hevron\'s Avraham Avinu neighborhood close to midnight. Rachel\'s Tomb, located just south of Jerusalem in Bethlehem, also came under fire. A security escort vehicle of the community of Chermesh in Samaria was also attacked by gunfire on Tuesday night. A resident of the Shomron community of Har Bracha spotted a large bomb while watering his trees on Tuesday night. The device exploded as bomb demolition technicians were removing it.

IDF soldiers were also targeted by terrorist forces. Near Tul Karem in the Shomron, an Israeli post was attacked by terrorist gunfire during the afternoon hours, yesterday. Soldiers were also fired upon in the evening the Karni/Netzarim road in the south. Also in the southern district, IDF positions in the Gush Katif area and near Rafiah were attacked with grenades and gunfire on Tuesday night. There were no injuries in any of the incidents and soldiers returned fire.
